Panicker’s Radical D&C Cannula

Application / Uses

Uterine Evacuation & Surgical Curettage

This cannula is used for removal of Intrauterine Polyps. The cannula is inserted into the uterine cavity and connected to suction where a negative pressure of 400 mm Hg is produced. The cannula is then rotated clockwise and anticlockwise a few times, resulting in radical curettage and suction of the uterine cavity.

Panicker’s Lighted Vaginal Speculum

Panicker’s Lighted Vaginal Speculum

Application / Uses

Pelvic & Vaginal Surgeries · Vaginal Hysterectomy · Episiotomy · Vaginal & Cervical Tears

This is like a one-sided vaginal speculum on which a screwing device is attached. A fiber optic light cable can be directly attached to this screwing device. It can be used as a lighted vaginal speculum in vaginal surgeries, vaginal hysterectomy, suturing episiotomies, and repairing vaginal and cervical tears. It can also be used as an abdominal retractor with light to see deep and difficult areas clearly.

Panicker’s PPH Suction Haemostatic Cannula

Panicker’s PPH Suction Haemostatic Cannula

Application / Uses

Prevention · Treatment of Postpartum Hemorrhage (PPH)

This is a 25 cm long and 12 mm diameter stainless steel cannula with multiple 4 mm holes along the distal 12 cm [total 48 holes]. The cannula is inserted into the postpartum uterus to prevent and treat PPH. After introducing the cannula, 700 mm Hg of negative pressure is applied. The wall of the uterine cavity is strongly sucked into the small holes of the cannula, thereby closing all bleeding sinusoids and arterioles due to the pressure effect of suction. Because the uterine wall is firmly held by the cannula, the uterus cannot expand or relax even in atonic PPH. Negative suction pressure is maintained for 30 minutes so that clotting occurs in these small vessels and bleeding is permanently stopped. After 30 minutes, suction is released and the cannula is rotated slightly and taken out. This is a simple and safe breakthrough invention to prevent and treat PPH with absolute success, connecting directly to a suction machine and working even in DIC. Can also be used during Caesarean section.

Panicker’s Non-Slip Bulldog Forceps

Panicker’s Non-Slip Bulldog Forceps

Application / Uses

Tissue Grasping · Ligament Holding & Vessel Ligation in PPH · Caesarean Hysterectomy

This forceps is designed to hold and pull hard tissues like ligaments, cartilages, and fibroids. The teeth are aligned such that the lower jaw fits precisely inside the upper jaw so the grip will not slip. Extremely useful to pull and remove fibroid fragments during morcellation.

Panicker’s Rapid Cervical Ripening Device

Panicker’s Rapid Cervical Ripening Device

Application / Uses

Accelerate Cervical Ripening · Induction of Labor

This soft, autoclavable, and reusable silicone device features a conical tubular design (8 cm length, 3 cm diameter at one end, tapering to 1 cm at the other end with a 4 cm stainless steel side-hole tube). The Foley catheter is introduced through this device into the cervical canal and uterine cavity. The Foley bulb is inflated with 60 ml of saline, pulled down against the device opening, and secured. The cervix is sandwiched under pressure between the Foley bulb and the device, enabling rapid cervical ripening and dilatation. It can also serve as an adapter for PPH and MR suction cannulas, and is very useful for dilating the cervix in previous Caesarean cases.

Panicker’s Vascular / Pedicle Clamp
